From Phone to PC
There are different ways to get your models from your phone to your PC.
For mobile scanning apps, one way to get your 3D model from the app/your phone to your PC is by uploading it to Sketchfab.

3. Manually Transfer the File
In most scanning applications they have an export to file option. This saves your scan on your phone which you can now send over to your PC. You can either do this by connecting your PC to your phone with a cable or use messaging softwares like Discord or Whatsapp.

In some apps you can upload to Google Drive (Dropbox is sometimes an option as well) and download it from your PC. With most hosting services you can setup an auto syncing so that your scans pop up on your PC after uploading.

Puzzle Maker Processing
This document should act as a glossary/wiki of all the options and settings that you can use in Puzzle Maker.
Create New Puzzle
- Puzzle Name
- Name your puzzle!
- Currently, it can only include English letters, characters, numbers, dashes/underscores, and spaces. This is the name that will be displayed in game, so choose it carefully.
- Puzzle attributes
- Mesh File
- This is where you link the 3D model that you want to process into a puzzle!
- You can either browse to the file or drag and drop it there.
- Supported formats are GLB FBX and OBJ. We recommend GLB/GLTF whenever you can.
- Process a 25 Pieces Preview Puzzle
- If you want to test the puzzle locally and want a quicker processing, you can check this box to limit the piece count to a single 25 pieces. The processing will go faster

Processing
- Validation (1/2):
- We check if the model has everything we need
- This includes a texture, connected topology ...
- We also clean up the model, normalize the size …
- Processing (2/2):
- The puzzle is generated.
- How long this takes depends on your PC, but calculate with at least 30 minutes.
My Library
- Puzzle Meta Data:
- Includes Name, Author, Location, Tags and Piece Count, inputed before
- Local Path
- Thumbnail and Reference Images
- The auto generated images made by us. Or whatever you set in advance settings.
- If the subject matter here is wrongly rotated, it will also be wrongly rotated in game. This is specially important for 2D.
- Publish to Steam Workshop
- Takes you to the publishing page, automatically sets all the values
